Free beaches and lidos, Carabinieri checks in Salerno, Vietri and Cetara. Check concessions and respect for sunbed and umbrella spaces
The Carabinieri of the Salerno company have started, on the occasion of the start of the summer season, a monitoring campaign towards the bathing establishments present along the entire coast of competence, including the municipalities of Vietri sul Mare and Cetara, in the Salerno area.
The military checks, already started today, will extend throughout the summer period and will concern both free beaches and bathing establishments, whose managers must be in possession of regular licenses and concessions, must comply to the letter with the provisions also regarding the spaces to be occupied with fixed sunbeds and umbrellas. Precisely with regard to the first aspect, the attention of the Carabinieri is high.
For the military, among other things, it is essential to be able to guarantee citizens the use of free beaches.
This is the aim of the checks on compliance with the perimeter limits with regard to equipped beach establishments and with regard to those who carry out the activity of renting beach equipment.
The latter, in fact, must possess the required requirements and the relative licenses and the provision of this equipment on the beaches must not be carried out indiscriminately but will be subordinated to the actual presence and actual need of the bather who requests it. The checks will also be carried out together with the local police personnel of the respective municipalities and the personnel of the Port Authority of Salerno.
