AAnother workplace massacre, three workers have died so far in Lecce, Verona and Perugia. Two more workers were burned in a Bracco Imaging plant in the province of Monza.
In Lecce, a 72-year-old worker died after falling from a height of 5 meters during renovation work.
In Legnago, in the province of Verona, a man died after being hit by a bundle of iron he was unloading from a truck in a company. The worker was crushed under the weight of the bundle. The Carabinieri of Legnago and the inspectors at Spisal of Ulss 9 Scaligera are reconstructing the dynamics of the accident.
The third fatal accident occurred in Ponticelli di Città della Pieve, along the “slow” railway line. A worker who was working on the ducts at the side of the tracks was hit by a passing train and died.
During the night, two workers were burned by vaporized iodine in the Bracco Imaging plant in Cesano Maderno (Monza) due to the collapse of a pipe connection. Their lives are not in danger.
