Single allowance, Bonetti: “Resources and support for families, a revolutionary measure”
"The universal single allowance represents a revolution for Italy: 20 billion euros that will be invested structurally every year for families with children, almost 7 billion additional. We are in the final stages, the data are already very comforting, especially for those professions that previously did not have access to family allowances and were also excluded from deductions. Alongside this measure, law 32/2022, the Family Act, provides for significant investments in educational services starting from nursery schools, in the reform of parental leave and in support for parenting also for freelancers, and also a great incentive for female employment".
Elena Bonetti, Minister for Equal Opportunities and the Family, said this during the conference “The single allowance and the prospects of universal support for the family with fiscal policies”, organized by the National Union of Young Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts with the Industrial Union of Naples – Young Entrepreneurs Group.
“The universal single allowance is a measure to be welcomed because it gives greater economic strength to families – highlighted Matteo De Lise, president of Ungdcec -. But it can also be improved, we believe that its duration could be extended from 21 to 24 years in order to allow young people to complete their studies, perhaps thinking about bonuses to be allocated to students who achieve better university results. Another proposal from the Union concerns the creation of an ad hoc training path for the beneficiary's entry into the world of work, creating unity of purpose with the potential employer".
Ettore Rosato (Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies), stated: "Investing in families means investing in the economy and birth rate, a chronic problem in this country. The universal single allowance is a structural support measure, which will remain even after this period of great crisis, which will benefit families in the long term."
For Claudio Turi (president of the Union of Young Chartered Accountants of Naples): “A topic of great relevance for us professionals, the single allowance is an innovative measure that allows us to rationalize previous benefits and generate greater equity. A measure that should therefore be viewed with extreme favor”.
