Woman beaten by her employers simply because she “dared” to ask for the wages she was entitled to and had not yet received.

And after after Francesca the girl from Naples who reported on social media that he had given up a job for 10 hours a day for six days a week at 280 euros a month, another case of worker exploitation has broken out. It happened in the province of GenoVa.

The woman said she had returned to the restaurant where she had worked as a cook and waitress just to get her last 10 days' pay and that her request had angered the owner and his girlfriend, as well as the cook.

So much so that she, 40 years old, hit in the face by a slap, found herself falling against a glass window that she broke. The glass would have caused her deep wounds and so she ended up in hospital where the doctors gave her a prognosis of 15 days.

Obviously she filed a complaint. But the owner of the restaurant where the woman had worked, and where the attack took place, gave the police a different version: the woman had been fired for just cause, she told the military, and therefore nothing was owed to her.

And instead he asked for the money in an arrogant way, he attacked him and his girlfriend. And he allegedly attacked them so violently that they reacted. They also filed a complaint. Riva Wheat, fraction of the municipality of Sestri Levante, in the metropolitan city of Genoa.

Yesterday in front of the restaurant, a few tables and a plastic gazebo, a small group of people witnessed the attack so much so that someone he called 118 and the police. The volunteers of the Red Cross They picked up the woman, a mask of blood, who immediately said she had been attacked.

She immediately told the police who reached her at the hospital. She told them that the first slap made her fall to the ground and then she fell against that glass, badly hurting herself.

While the patrol was collecting his testimony in hospital in Lavagna, the carabinieri invited to the barracks the owner of the restaurant and his girlfriend. It was then that the Maghrebian citizen, owner of the small restaurant, he said he reacted to what, according to his version, was a violent assault.

First verbal, then escalated until the woman allegedly spat on him. At that point he reacted and allegedly slapped her. The story ends like this, for now, with a double complaint.

While the Carabinieri are trying to understand what really happened inside the small restaurant in Riva Trigoso, the mayor Valentina Ghio speaks of "unheard of violence" and warns: "regardless of the versions of what happened, numerous episodes of improper use of seasonal work contracts are occurring. Checks by law enforcement and trade offices will be intensified to verify licenses and employees."
