The Stabiese Legal Association – supported by the Torre Annunziata Bar Association – has taken the field for solidarity and has thus defined, today 23 June 2022, an important cause brought forward according to altruistic feelings and an anti-utilitarian logic, for the benefit of the Pediatrics department of the San Leonardo Hospital in Castellammare di Stabia.
The Support Team – Doctors and Nurses – in the rooms of the aforementioned sector of the Stabia hospital, welcomed the representatives of the Legal Office for the delivery ceremony of important medical instruments, purchased thanks to the proceeds of the generous participation in an event dinner, organized on December 17, 2021 at the Hotel Stabia in Castellammare, and to the significant contribution of the Council of the Order of
Lawyers of Torre Annunziata.
The donated medical supplies: 4 pulse oximeters/lung ventilators (of which 2 from the COA of Torre Annunziata), a pediatric mannequin set and a emergency bag, were delivered by the representatives of the professional category that created the solidarity project, in the persons of the following Lawyers: Bianca Vanacore – AFS President, Casimiro Donnarumma, Dario Raffone, Alfredo Varone – members of the AFS Board of Directors, Antonino Raffone – COA Vice President, Emanuela Esposito and Francesco Savastano – COA Councilors. In the colorful setting of the playroom, the head physician – Dr. Luigi Tarallo – expressed great pleasure in thanking the Stabiese Forensic Association, and the Council of the Order of Lawyers of Torre Annunziata, for the praiseworthy initiative.
The material delivered, the Chief Physician specified, will be extremely useful for the effective assistance of the little patients, as well as for the training of the staff and therefore for the daily activity of the department.
The lawyer Bianca Vanacore, President of the AFS, promoter of the initiative, stated in her speech, with a hint of legitimate pride, that the Association she represents is not new to such projects in favor of the hospital and that, on the occasion of each charity collection, the lawyers have participated with great heart and marked sensitivity.
He then concluded by expressing his personal hope that “this event takes place
in the wake of a demonstration of generosity that will continue with future initiatives!”.
The lawyer Antonino Raffone, Vice President COA, began by expressing the greetings of all the National and the great satisfaction of the latter for having raised funds for the purchase of particularly welcome instruments because, as often happens, health facilities suffer the lack of them even in emergencies. Attorney Raffone then continued by declaring the willingness of the Attorney's Office to continue these
charitable activities, even in a historical moment that sees it invested in its entirety by serious difficulties - common to all the liberal professions - nevertheless it does not want to fail to make its contribution.
Today's, as reported by the President of ANF - Attorney Bianca Vanacore, is therefore added to other charitable purposes pursued by the aforementioned association towards the health facility in Castellammare di Stabia and entities in need of help.
It should be remembered that in 2019 the latter organized a fundraiser among its members, also extended to citizens who intended to participate, aimed at purchasing changing tables for the Gynecology department.
At the beginning of the pandemic - in March 2020 - the association promoted a fundraiser to be allocated to the Civil Protection and the Church of Carmine in Castellammare, which were then used to purchase food for families in economic difficulty.
Given the noble goals achieved, sincere admiration must be recognized to the Attorney General, hoping that it can continue, and if possible intensify - with the same enthusiasm and the same determination - the fruitful work of solidarity carried out up to now.
