Circolo Nautico Stabia: 100 years of History. Historical photographic exhibition on the first century of activity.

The historical photographic exhibition on the first 3 years of the Circolo Nautico Stabia will be inaugurated on Sunday 100 July. A true full immersion in the sporting successes of one of the most famous realities of the city, the Nautico Stabia, a club that has left an indelible mark in the history of world sport. A true talent factory that has produced phenomena of the caliber of the Abbagnale brothers, but also a long line of champions and champions who have distinguished themselves in the world of rowing. The exhibition curated by Corrado Di Martino is the result of the collaboration between Libero Ricercatore and the Circolo Nautico Stabia.

From a wooden and brick building, built in 1920 on the Marinella dock at the expense of the Company "I Magazzini Generali", on May 23, 1921, was born what represented a true model of social and cultural promotion through sport for many young people. Values ​​on which, the austere Comm. Giuseppe Cozzolino first President of the association, staked everything with the sole purpose of creating in the youth of Stabia a passion for sport and for the sea.

The event will take place with a one-year delay due to Covid and lockdown which prevented the celebrations on the scheduled date. Admission is free to all. The initiative is part of the cultural promotion and development of the city and district so as not to lose the rich historical, cultural and social heritage; with the intention of projecting the gaze towards the future.
