Covid in Italy, 48.456 cases, 44 deaths and positivity rate at 24,3%

There are 48.456 new Covid cases in Italy in the last 24 hours, compared to 56.386 yesterday but above all 30.526 last Sunday.

I processed swabs there are 199.340 (and not 191.788 as written before) (yesterday 258.456) with a positivity rate that rises from 21,8% to 24,3%. The deaths are 44 (yesterday 40).

The total number of victims since the beginning pandemic thus rises to 168.102. Hospitalizations are increasing: 2 more intensive care (yesterday +0), which are now 227 in total with 18 daily entrances. And another 190 more are the ordinary hospitalizations (yesterday +137) for a total of 5.532. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

The region with the highest number of cases is the Lombardia with 6.941 infections, followed by Lazio (+ 6.693), Campania (+5.458) and Emilia Romagna (+4.487). Total cases since the beginning of the pandemic reach 18.234.242.

The discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 19.320 (yesterday 31.532) for a total that rises to 17.332.70. The currently positive are 29.961 more (yesterday +25.301) for a total that rises to 733.440. Of these, 727681 are in home isolation.
