Pozzuoli. “From today the City comes first. THANK YOU POZZUOLI!”, wrote the new mayor Luigi Manzoni on his Facebook page.
The official confirmation of his victory also came from the Ministry of the Interior, with the scrutiny of all 69 sections, in the run-off election at the Municipality of Pozzuoli. The 'derby' in center left, was therefore won by Luigi Manzoni, supported by 10 lists including Europa Verde, Azione, Noi con l'italia, Noi Di Centro and Psi, who was elected mayor with 51,77% of the votes.
The mayoral candidate Paolo Ismeno, supported by eight lists including Sinistra Italiana and some civic lists, obtained 48,23%. In the first round, Manzoni had obtained 46,35% and Ismeno had collected 41%.
