There is no peace for the citizens of Marano di Napoli who have to deal not only with the record temperatures that are plaguing the wholeItaly but also, and again, with the lack of running water.
There has in fact been a new breakdown at theSan Rocco water system with relative water loss.
“We have been without water for days again and all the streets are flooding because there is a leak and no one is intervening. It's like this every week. The commissioners at the municipality are not giving us answers”, is the desperate protest of a group of citizens of Marano who addressed the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“Unheard of situation. Continuously leaving citizens without running water, and with this heat, is reckless. Citizens, among other things, are unable to have practically any dialogue with the administration in office that replaces the one dissolved due to Camorra infiltration.
The Prefect of Naples must summon the commissioners and also evaluate their removal if they are not able to manage the situation.
There is a need for more transparency, dialogue with citizens, without taking into account that a definitive resolution to the water emergency is needed without relying on stopgap measures anymore”, Borrelli declared.
