This morning the officers of the San Ferdinando Police Station and personnel of the Port Authority – Coast Guard of Naples, with the support of the Diving Unit of the State Police, have carried out an extraordinary service of territorial control and verification of the regularity of moorings, aimed at combating the phenomena of illegal building on the maritime state property in the stretch of water in front of the Mergellina area and the Nazario Sauro roundabout.
During the activity, from a reconnaissance carried out by the Diving Unit, it was found that a system of or had been set upcompletely illegal mooring, consisting of large caliber top stringers anchored to two cliffs, to which 25 vessels were tied which were removed by the owners while the ropes were disposed of by personnel of the ASIA of the Municipality in Naples.
Operators also have cleared umbrellas, chairs and tables from a dock located on the state-owned area near the body of water of the Nazario Sauro roundabout.
