Mergellina: Illegal Drink Vendor Attacks Police. Arrested.
Yesterday morning, officers from the San Ferdinando Police Station and personnel from the Naples Port Authority carried out an extraordinary territorial control service aimed at combating the phenomenon of illegal building on state-owned maritime property in the stretch of water in front of the Mergellina area.
The operators surprised, on the beach in front of the Round Diaz, a woman who sold food and drinks without the relevant license and that, during the identification phases, he began to have a tantrum and physically attacked them until, not without difficulty and after a scuffle, was blocked; at that moment, the the woman's father who verbally abused them.
DS, 28 year old Neapolitan with police history, was arrested for personal injury aggravated, threat, insult and resistance to a Public Official; furthermore, Local Police personnel sanctioned her for having served food and drinks without the required authorisations and 231 bottles seized, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Finally, the father the woman, a 60 year old Neapolitan with a criminal record, was reported for threatening a public official.
