Naples Weather, Charon's grip for the whole week
The heat gives no respite to Italy which will remain in the grip of the African anticyclone Caronte for the entire week with temperatures above 40 degrees with maximum peaks that could reach 43-44 degrees in the inland areas of Sardinia and Sicily.
Today the heat wave "will reach – explains Antonio Sano', director of 'il Meteo.it' – much of the center-south, insisting to a greater extent on the two major islands. In the most internal areas of Sardinia and Sicily, under a very generous amount of sunshine, the mercury columns could even reach record highs exceeding the threshold of 40 degrees.
In this regard, maximum peaks above 43-44 degrees cannot be ruled out in the inland areas of Sardinia and Sicily, which could set records for the end of June.
“Lots of sun and heat also on the rise in the rest of Italy where, however – warns the meteorologist – the mercury columns will not be able to rise that much yet, also thanks to a storm front that, on Tuesday, will affect the northern regions, dispensing rain and storms that, from the Alps, will reach the flat areas of the northwest. In this juncture we will witness a general drop in maximum values, in the north as well as in part of the center”.
