Napoli. The State Police Investigators were able to identify and secure for the Judicial Authority a 36-year-old woman, who was driving her own car after having altered both license plates.
Last December, a citizen living in Turin received speeding tickets and invoice charges from Autostrade per l'Italia for transits never made at some toll booths in Southern Italy. Therefore, he formalized a regular complaint for license plate cloning.
During the investigations, the investigators of the Traffic Police Subsection of Fuorigrotta, have acquired all the reports relating to the missed toll payments and the speeding violations by the vehicle being searched for. It was therefore possible to identify the owner of the vehicle by ascertaining that the character "F" had been altered to "E" on the license plate and furthermore that the vehicle in question is subject to an administrative burden and the recipient of 76 unpaid motorway trips.
For all that has emerged, the owner, a 36-year-old woman, was reported to the AG in a state of freedom for use of a false document, material forgery committed by a private individual, fraudulent insolvency and fraud, thus putting an end to the inconveniences suffered by the unaware Piedmontese citizen.
