Pomigliano, after 20 years the PUC has been approved by the city council

Pomigliano. After a marathon session that lasted until late at night, the City Council approved the structural component of the Municipal Urban Planning Scheme of Pomigliano Of Arc.

After months of in-depth study on the topic, aimed above all at the comparison with the citizens, at the end of an interminable day, we have reached the achievement of that goal that the city had been waiting for for many years.

"After almost 20 years, the PUC is finally a reality. After passing through the City Council, it has been definitively approved - comments with great satisfaction the mayor of Pomigliano d'Arco, Gianluca Del Mastro - the transformation of the next few years will make Pomigliano a more organized city, more liveable and concretely modern and functional, respectful of the environment and equipped with certain rules for the management of the territory. Our Administration has taken another important step forward for the good of our City".

The main points of the approved Municipal Urban Plan are the following:

✅ Pomigliano will be a post-Covid City divided into neighborhoods where all essential services for the community can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. Common green areas, coworking areas and areas for recreational activities must be provided for new buildings.

✅ The Plan will also promote access to the first home of young couples, the elderly and the disabled through the social housing formula.

✅ A new sustainable mobility plan will be introduced to reduce traffic and decongest the city center, which includes the construction of new roads. We will also create a belt of green infrastructure that will protect the City from fine dust.

✅ The plan will finally give the possibility of dividing existing real estate units: a measure that has been awaited for twenty years.

✅ With the adoption of the PUC, the payment of IMU for land falling within the Building Sectors has finally been suspended until their implementation.

✅ To facilitate the construction of the residential sectors, the area to be ceded to the Municipality has been significantly reduced from 80 to 60% and the possibility of a 30% increase in surface area for commercial and tertiary activities has been granted.

✅ The establishment of unhealthy industries in the city will no longer be permitted and those located in the residential fabric will be required to relocate within 5 years.

✅ The PUC is implemented through urban regeneration projects, some of which have already been financed with PNRR funds: the social village, the new road that passes through the Leonardo parking lot and continues on the EAV route, the redevelopment of the Sulmona district.
