Path of the Gods, two people saved by the Alpine and Speleological Rescue of Campania.
Late this morning, the 118 operations centre alerted the Campania National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps to a hiker who had fallen ill near the lemon kiosk, on the Nocelle (SA) side.
Fortunately, the technicians from the Campania CNSAS reached the man, who was already in the care of the 118 medical team. Only a couple of hours later, the Carabinieri Operations Center in Salerno and subsequently the 118 emergency service again alerted the Campania Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service, again for an accident along the Path of the Gods.
Near block 9B, a 59-year-old American man fell about fifteen meters while descending some stairs along a stretch of path. The Salerno 118 air ambulance took off immediately and landed the medical team near the injured man, who suffered injuries to his ribs and femur.
The man was stabilized and placed in a stretcher, then recovered by the 118 air rescue service using a winch. Meanwhile, technicians from the Campania Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service assisted and escorted back a person who was with the man who was visibly shaken by the incident. The operation concluded around 16.30:XNUMX PM.
