Over the past weekend, as part of a broad activity dedicated to monitoring compliance with road traffic rules, checks by State Police officers on the Sorrento peninsula were intensified.
An impressive device was deployed along the entire SS145 Sorrentina, especially near the three tunnels Privati, Varano and Santa Maria del Pozzano, consisting of 10 patrols that checked a total of more than 60 vehicles and identified approximately 80 individuals.
The violations detected were 45, the driving licenses withdrawn 3, the registration certificates 1, and 102 points deducted from the driving licenses, 3 people involved in a road accident that occurred on Sunday night were also subjected to breathalyzer tests.
Specifically, 18 violations were contested for failure to use seat belts, 2 violations for unjustified use of a cell phone while driving, 1 violation for speeding, 1 violation for overtaking, 1 administrative seizure of a vehicle for expired MOT, 22 other rules of conduct, 1 accident reported and 2 identified individuals on whom non-custodial tracing notes were pending.
