Man hinders son's love story and kidnaps girlfriend, arrested

He was arrested for thwarting his son's romance and kidnapping his girlfriend. He also allegedly threatened to kill her in the Trapani area.

This marriage is not to be. The new Don Rodrigo of Manzonian memory is a 39-year-old criminal from Alcamo in the Trapani area who was arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of kidnapping.

Involved in the affair are the 18-year-old son of the suspect and his underage girlfriend, tied by a love story that the parent would not have liked. According to what the military of the Arma have reconstructed, the man would have done everything to hinder her, even with death threats. The son, tired of these prohibitions, however, reported his father.

Once the investigations were underway, the Carabinieri discovered the 39-year-old driving his own car with the girl on board, whom he allegedly prevented from getting out. On that occasion, he also allegedly called his son on the phone, warning him of what he was doing and that, if he did not end the love affair, he would never see her again.

This would not have been the only episode verified by the Carabinieri. On another occasion the man would have gone to the young woman's house, threatening her with death and stealing her phone.

The offender was arrested by order of the Trapani Public Prosecutor's Office and, upon validation, was subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest with an electronic bracelet.
