Giugliano writer Raffaele Cars is the winner of the first edition of Tennis Writing, the writing competition organized on the occasion of the Milano ATP Challenger.

Of the 100 writers who took part, Raffaele, a resident of Giugliano, managed to win the competition thanks to a much-appreciated story, “Era solo la vita” (It Was Only Life), which features Foster and Mya, two tennis balls who fall in love and try to escape together.

Raffaele Cars, born in 1992, has a novel published by Homo Scrivens behind him: “Youth in the Time of Bears”.

His next novel, however, again with Homo Scrivens, led by Aldo Putignano, will be released next spring. Author, also, of the podcast “Hikaya” for Pangea, Raffaele Cars is a name that continues to grow in the world of Campania and national writing.

"I'm really happy with this award – says Cars – I inform my readers and anyone who wants to know my works that they will be able to read the winning story of the competition in a collection that will be released next spring - he concludes - with all the finalists and some guest stars from the Italian journalistic and authorial scene".

The competition was held in conjunction with the Milano ATP Challenger, at the Aspria Harbour Club in Milan.
