Cirio Castellammare Affair: All on Trial. The nine suspects in the investigation into the recovery of the mega structure on the outskirts of the town of Castellammare will have to defend themselves from corruption charges.
The preliminary hearing judge of the Torre Annunziata Court decided this at the end of the preliminary hearing that took place this morning. Among the nine who will appear as defendants in the trial are also Senator Luigi Cesaro and Deputy Antonio Pentangelo, both representatives of Forza Italia from Campania.
And then there are Maurizio Biondi, the architect Anthony Elephant, technical director of the Cirio operation, two officials of the revenue agencies Vincenzo Colavecchia and Marcello Ciofalo and the manager Vincenzo Campitiello.
