Afragola. Things didn't go exactly as planned for the robber who, wearing a mask and armed with a gun, stormed into an electronics store in Afragola on June 29th, demanding the owner hand over the proceeds.
On the other side of the glass, not at all surprised or intimidated, the shop owner, at the sight of the revolver pointed at him, reacted by throwing the laptop he had taken for the customers who were in the shop at the young man.
And then, following that, any object that came into his hands, in a crescendo of anger that even led him to chase the bandit who fled on a scooter, evidently frightened, as well as surprised, by the reaction outside of protocol.
The shopkeeper who reported the attempted robbery to the regional councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who in turn published the images taken by an internal circuit camera on Facebook, recounted the incident.

"Everyone would like to have the courage of this merchant - comments Borrelli - who probably exasperated by the rampant crime instinctively reacted to the bandits. This episode shows how criminals are above all cowards despite their attempts to celebrate themselves as heroes on social media.
Beyond that - the regional councilor commented - crime is spreading and it is time to have effective and structured responses from Minister Lamorgese before we reach a point of no return".
The video quickly went viral on the web, garnering numerous comments celebrating the courage of the shop owner.
