Twelve hours of intensive involvement, creation and discussion of comic pieces, stage, moments together, team and individuals. These are the ingredients of the third edition of the workshop “Comic Perceptions” that will start tomorrow (Tuesday 19 July) at the Teatro Delle Arti in Salerno, from 17 pm to 20 pm and included in the program of the XXXIV edition of the Charlot Award.
Three days of workshops, free to attend (the other two events are scheduled for Wednesday, July 20 from 10 am to 13 pm and Thursday, July 21 from 17 pm to 20 pm) curated by Alessio Tagliento, comedian, author and theatre director. He began his artistic career in 1997 in the Laboratorio Scaldasole group in Milan, first alongside comedian-cartoonist Diego Cajelli, and then as an integral part of the Laboratorio, in the role of author-actor-musician. He subsequently brought the Scaldasole cabaret to Radio Popolare, thus creating Scaldasole Giovedì Night Live.
In 2000 he arrived, as an author, at Zelig, in the artistic workshops curated by Carlo Turat. In 2006 he participated as an author in the editions of Colorado Cafè and Quelli che il calcio. In 2009 he began collaborating with Giorgio Panariello, then again with Zelig Off and then Zelig until 2014 and also for Zelig 1. He began writing theatrical texts and television series. In 2016 he began his collaboration with the Charlot Prize and in 2018 he began collaborating on the drafting of texts for Gabriele Cirilli's shows. And he still writes texts for Dado, Dario Cassini, Raul Cremona, Carmine Farago, Massimo Bagnato, Giovanni Vernia and many others. In 2022 he is the author of Max Angioni's monologues for Le Iene Show. But let's go back to the 2022 workshop branded by the Charlot Prize.
It will be a guided journey into the territories of comedy, for all those who do not like definitions and clear boundaries. From slapstick to jokes, from cabaret to stand up comedy, from sketches to monologues, through the construction of the physical character to creative writing in the comic context. A specific course, tuned to the personal characteristics of the students, which will provide each of them with the tools to best manage their own comedy, between the roots of traditional comedy and new trends. The course will be based on the fusion of three methods: comic writing, comic narration and comic acting.
The specific topics that will be covered in these 12 hours of lessons will be: Basic comedy, from words to gestures; The body. How to use it on stage; Rhythm, pauses and silences as the structure of the joke; The catchphrase; Comic timing; the comedian and the sidekick, contrast, the “equal” game; The synthesis of the text; The rhythms of television, live, fiction.
ON JULY 20TH FOR THE CHARLOT GIOVANI ALESSANDRO BOLIDE ARRIVES AS GODFATHER
Alessandro Bolide with his overwhelming sympathy will be the godfather of the Charlot Giovani competition scheduled for the evening of July 20 (21.30:20 p.m.), at the Arena del Mare. The Neapolitan comedian, known to the television audience for his participation in successful programs such as “Made in Sud”, will therefore christen the seven finalists selected throughout Italy by Gianluca Tortora and Alessio Tagliento who on the evening of July 21.30 (XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.), at the Arena del Mare will go on stage, ready to challenge each other with laughter to conquer the “Charlot Giovani”. As always, the audience will decide the winner, while the technical jury will award the critics' prize. And as the curtain is about to fall on the first part of the XXXIV edition of the Charlot Award, the patron and artistic director Claudio Tortora announces who will be awarded the Charlot Lifetime Achievement Award on the evening of July 24st at the Arena del Mare at 21,30:2005 p.m. The award will go to Maestro Bruno Venturini, a singer of Pagan origins who has held concerts all over the world. His best-known recording is “Antologia della canzone napoletana”. Among the awards he has received, we recall: in 1995 he was named Knight of the Order of Malta; in 1972 the President of the Republic Scalfaro named him Grand Officer of the Italian Republic for international artistic merit; Before that, in XNUMX he was named the Nobel class academic title by the Academy of Letters, Sciences and Arts in Milan.
After the award ceremony of Maestro Bruno Venturini, it will be Giuseppe Gibboni's turn to go up on the stage of the Charlot Award after 5 years. The violinist winner of the Paganini Award will be awarded the special Charlot Award. The comedy show starring Paolo Caiazzo will follow.
JULY 25TH WE LAUGH WITH ROBERTO LIPARI AND LUCA LOMBARDO

Roberto Lipari, Sicilian, was the winner and then co-host of the talent show “Eccezionale Veramente”, was part of the cast of Colorado and first correspondent and then host of Striscia la Notizia, screenwriter and protagonist of the film “TuttAPPosto”. Luca Lombardo is an actor, a magician, a clown, a quick-change artist. A deep admirer of Arturo Brachetti, after studying magic and acting since 2021 he will dedicate himself to quick-change.
