Amalfi has announced a tender to renovate public lighting through project financing, aiming to reduce consumption and improve performance.

The municipal administration of Amalfi, led by mayor Daniele Milano, has announced a tender for the assignment – under a project financing regime – of the “energy efficiency interventions, technical-functional requalification, management of the public lighting system and the electrical systems of the “Luna Rossa” car park with the provision of new “smart city” services.

“The redevelopment interventions envisaged by the “Project Financing” – declared Milan – They include reduced consumption, better performance and system adaptation and innovative technical solutions.

Not only from the point of view of sustainability, but above all because they are suitable for the valorization of a prestigious territory from a historical, social and cultural point of view such as that of the City of Amalfi which boasts unique landscape beauties”.

Specifically, it includes the replacement and relamping of current lighting fixtures with modern LED fixtures, capable of ensuring better lighting efficiency; the replacement or maintenance of damaged or dangerous supports; the adaptation and requalification of electrical panels and power lines, for the safe operation of all existing systems.

The value of the concession is estimated at 5 million and 167 thousand euros plus VAT. The investments for the construction of the works will be entirely financed by the concessionaire and must be completed within the first 14 months from the signing of the contract.

The concession for the management service will, as mentioned, have a duration of 20 years during which the Municipality of Amalfi remains committed to investing the revalued annual fee, currently equal to approximately 300 thousand euros, necessary for the operation of the lighting system (electricity, maintenance and operation) and the electrical system of the “Luna Rossa” car park (electricity and maintenance).

During this period, the Municipality of Amalfi will act as an administrative body to monitor the regularity of the contractual service.
