Capodimonte, in August the Park around the Royal Palace will be open until 22 pm. After 20 pm the gardens and the Belvedere will be open to visitors.
Throughout the month of August, the Museum and Royal Wood of Capodimonte will open its doors to citizens also in the evening. To allow those who remain in Naples to enjoy a few more hours of relaxation in the Royal Wood Park, the Management has decided to extend the opening hours of Porta Grande and Porta Piccola until 22.00:XNUMX p.m., for the entire month of August.
After 20.00 pm only the Gardens around the Palace and the Belvedere will be accessible, with the Tea Room also opening.
In addition, the Museum will also be open on Monday 15 August (Ferragosto) according to the usual hours: 8:30-19.30:10 (first floor) and 17.30-1578:1635 (second floor and Sala Causa with the exhibition on Battistello Caracciolo). Four exhibitions are currently underway: The Bronze Patriarch of the Caravaggios: Battistello Caracciolo (2-2022) until 10 October 17.30, from 30 am to 2022:10 pm in Sala Causa, Salvatore Emblema (until 17.30 October 7, from 2023 am to 10:17.30 pm), Beyond Caravaggio. The Triumph of Death (until September 30, 2022) included in the cycle of focus exhibitions The Opera tells its story from 8.30 am to 19.30 pm. In addition, on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10.00 am to 17.00 pm with last admission at 16.30 pm) the Church of San Gennaro with the new decoration by Santiago Calatrava and the Cellaio with the Emblema exhibition will also be open in the Real Bosco. The museum rooms will be enlivened, every Saturday and Sunday, by the piano music of M° Rosario Ruggiero and the performances of the Arcoscenico Company (Rodolfo Fornario and Antonella Quaranta).
Those who want to spend their free time and relax in the Real Bosco will find two picnic areas (the meadow between Porta Caccetta and the Church of San Gennaro, and the new area, the Prateria della Quercia, near the rugby field), two dog areas, divided into small and large size, many areas dedicated to sports: from the fitness trail to the football fields and the rugby area, two refreshment areas, the late Baroque garden restored to its original identity.
Paths shaped to create real green walls, the 14 statues of the Porta di Mezzo semi-circle restored, together with the famous statue of the Giant placed at the end of the central path, new benches for a cool break and new lawns resistant to pathogens and high summer temperatures, with a modern eco-sustainable irrigation system.
