Naples. Absenteeism at Loreto Mare Hospital: Sentence requested for two doctors.
The deputy prosecutor of Naples Ida Frongillo, within the scope of the separate proceedings of the investigation concerning the alleged cases of absenteeism in the Loreto Mare hospital in Naples, has formulated to the judge of the first criminal section of the Court of Naples the request for conviction for two doctors for whom she has asked, respectively, two years of imprisonment and a fine of 1800 euros, and one year and 4 months.
The two doctors were supposed to work exclusively for the ASL Napoli 1 and instead, from the investigations, it emerged that they also worked privately. For both of them, the magistrate requested the suspension of the sentence in case of conviction.
The requests of the public prosecutor were followed by the speech of the lawyer Gennaro De Falco, legal representative of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, which constituted itself as a civil party. The defense lawyers of the two defendants will instead argue during the next hearing scheduled for September 28, 2022.
