Avellino. Surrounded, threatened, pushed by a group of very young people. This is the complaint filed by two young women from Avellino who were returning home last night crossing via Duomo, in the historic center of the city.
They managed to raise the alarm with their cell phones, but by the time a police patrol arrived, the young attackers had disappeared. The episode occurred in the area designated for nightlife in the summer, with traffic closed in the entire historic center every day from eight to one in the morning.
Residents are asking the municipality and the Prefecture to enforce stricter controls on commercial establishments that sell alcohol to minors and to increase the presence of law enforcement and municipal police in the area.
