After Fjord di Crapolla, it's the turn of the small and precious archipelago de Li Galli, zone B of thePunta Campanella Marine Protected Area. This morning, the Nautical staff of the Park began to place buoys around some points of the islets. In particular, the buoys were placed under the tower of the Long Cock, to protect a body of water from the entry of vessels, and in front of a narrow passage of the rooster “Brigante” to avoid transit that is harmful and dangerous to the safety of navigation.
The red lifeboats will therefore be used to protect some areas from the entrance to engine and by 'Anchoring prohibited. Numerous boats, in fact, crowd the archipelago in the summer months. A dangerous situation also for the safety of navigation and any swimmers present in the area.
“This is a further sign of protection of the sea and safety that we have decided to adopt, others will follow – explains the President ofAmps, Lucio Cacace -. Thanks to the Municipality of Positano, the Port Authority and the owners of Gallo Lungo for their collaboration. Protecting Li Galli is very important, the area is invaded by boats that put the environment, the seabed and even safety at risk”.
“I would like to thank our nautical staff who are very competent and always operate with great professionalism. - highlights Alberico Simioli, Director of the AMP -. The buoys are a good solution to reiterate the importance of respecting the rules and prohibitions of the Park, which have the sole purpose of preserving sites of extraordinary natural beauty".
“I believe it is a very valid measure for the protection and safeguard of the seabed and some stretches of the internal water surface of the Li Galli archipelago”he concludes Juliana Apuzzo, Board Member of the Marine Park in Positano.
