Castellammare, sixth edition of the "Rosso di Stabia" event, conceived by Stefano Fontanella and Pierluigi Fiorenza.

Reject the reputation of a Camorra city by identifying, possibly, with positive characters who bring the name of Castellammare to the top in Italy and in the world. Try to tell the story of the City in a constructive way by leveraging a first-rate human material that should serve as an example for everyone.

“Rosso di Stabia”, an event conceived by Stefano Fontanella and Pierluigi Fiorenza, aims to strengthen the bond of affection between the people of Stabia and their city by rewarding its deserving citizens.

The sixth edition, sponsored by the Municipality of Castellammare, will take place on Saturday 23 July on the balcony of the Reggia di Quisisana starting at 20.30 pm.

This year the Radici Prize will be awarded to Angela Procida, world champion in Paralympic swimming, Dora Romano, actress, Vania de Luca, Vatican correspondent for Tg3, Clelia Cafiero, pianist and director of the Orchestre Operá de Marseille, Paolo Cecere, priest, Ida Maietta, official of the Superintendence of Fine Arts in Naples, Francesca Maresca, painter, and the choreographer Demis Autellitano.

The Vespucci Award will be given to Neapolitan astrophysicist Mariafelicia de Laurentiis. During the evening, hosted by Pierluigi Fiorenza and Maria Silvia Malvone, two commemorative plaques will be awarded, the first to the Regional Command of the Carabinieri Forestali and the second to Deputy Commissioner Pasquale Caiazzo. Among the award recipients will also be Monsignor Franco Alfano, Archbishop of Castellammare – Sorrento, Prefectural Commissioner Mauro Passerotti, Raffaele Sabato, Italian judge at the European Court of Strasbourg, Luigi Vicinanza, editorial co-director of Gedi News Network and actor-poet Gerado Scala.
The Radici Award consists of a trophy depicting the Cassarmonica Stabiese.

During the first editions, the following were awarded, among others: the Attorney General of the Republic Luigi Riello, the judge at the European Court of Strasbourg Raffaele Sabato, the co-director of Corriere della Sera Antonio Polito, Rosario Castellano commander of the Armed Forces of Southern Italy, the director of the CERN laboratories in Geneva Luigi Scibile, the co-director of the Espresso e Repubblica publishing group Luigi Vicinanza, the actors Sebastiano Somma, Gianfelice Imparato, Antonio Milo and Simone Schettino, the footballers Fabio Quagliarella, Salvatore Di Somma, Gennaro Olivieri, Roberto Amodio and Gennaro Iezzo, the champions of the Circolo Nautico Stabia, the art director and Nastro d'Argento Davide Zurolo, the president of the Expert group, Enrico Somma, the infectious disease specialist Franco Faella, the scientist Annachiara Rosa, the CEO of Fincantieri Giuseppe Bono, the DA of Banca Stabiese Maurizio Santoro and many others. The Amerigo Vespucci Award was awarded to the writer Maurizio De Giovanni.

"The future of Castellammare is more than ever in the hands of the people of Stabia. Its illustrious sons, awarded with the Rosso di Stabia, demonstrate that everyone must contribute to the recovery of a city rich in history, art and culture to get it out of the crisis that grips it", declare Stefano Fontanella and Pierluigi Fiorenza.
