Claudia Bonasi's book "Amalfi in the '50s and '60s. Alfonso Fusco, Photographer" is available in Cetara.

Another appointment on Wednesday, July 13th at 8:00 pm in Cetara in Piazzale Grotta with the Mediterranean Book Festival, along the thread of amarcord: the protagonist is the Amalfi Coast of the 1950s and 1960s.

As part of the Author Meetings, journalist Claudia Bonasi's book "Amalfi in the 50s and 60s. Alfonso Fusco, Photographer," published by Puracultura, will be presented. The meeting will feature Claudia Bonasi, interviewed by Alfonso Bottone, creator of the incostieramalfitana.it event, now in its sixteenth year, and writer and publisher Gabriele Cavaliere, who will speak on the topic of "The Inventions of Amalfi Cuisine in the 50s and 60s."

The 120-page book "Amalfi in the 50s and 60s. Alfonso Fusco, Photographer" features 200 carefully selected photographs, divided into sections. Born in Amalfi in 1938, Alfonso Fusco, who passed away a few years ago, worked as a photographer during the 50s and 60s. His archive, discovered by his family, contains thousands of negatives that testify to the changes taking place during that precise period, from the end of World War II to the beginning of Amalfi's "dolce vita."

Fusco points his lens and captures, in a sort of photographic neorealism, everything that happens in Amalfi in those years: shots of everyday life - weddings, public demonstrations, electoral campaigns - but also particular events, such as the splendid parties with the dancers of the Africana or the arrival of Jacqueline Kennedy in the Divine.
