Circumvesuviana, 24-hour strike for Sunday revoked. Orsa union: “Signal to company and Region, no inconvenience to users.”
There will be no strike on Sunday 24 July by the staff of the Autonomous Volturno Authority. The Orsa union has in fact decided to revoke the 24-hour strike previously proclaimed "to prove – reads a note – for the umpteenth time the desire to get to the end of a dispute without harming the already too mortified users of the Eav railway and bus lines”.
“The state of the negotiation – the Campania regional secretariat of the union's rail and public transport sector also informs us – nit is not at a point where we can foresee a quick and satisfactory conclusion. The strike next Sunday would have been a powerful weapon to try to shift the balance of this and other ongoing disputes. We have decided to revoke it also because the users asked us to”.
And yet: "We have decided to call off the strike for next Sunday, but know that the workers' problems remain. We have given a very strong signal of responsibility to the company management and the Campania Region, we have given them yet another opening of credit at a time when we could have behaved in a completely different way. Now we expect that from the many words we will move on to concrete actions. We hope so for the good of all, especially for that of Eav".
