Naples, the Muso-Fedro school complex is scheduled for completion soon. Demolition and reconstruction of the Troisi Institute in Pianura are planned.
"After more than a decade of litigation, the Musto-Fedro complex in Municipality 5 will finally be delivered next week ." This was announced by the director of the Schools Technical Service, architect Alfonso Ghezzi, during the Education Commission, chaired by Aniello Esposito. The meeting, which opened with a tribute to Deputy Mayor Mia Filippone, also provided an opportunity to review funding and timelines for school building maintenance.
The Administration , according to a statement , submitted a total of 70 applications. Regarding the national PNRR funds, applications were accepted for 11 nurseries, 17 preschools, and 2 gymnasiums, as well as the demolition and reconstruction of the Massimo Troisi Institute in Pianura. Regarding the regional PNRR funds, the Municipality submitted 31 applications, of which two were approved for funding: the Salvo D'Acquisto Institute and the Russo Institute.
On the hypothesis that the maintenance could jeopardize the regular start of the school year, Ghezzi assured that the interventions in progress will be completed by the beginning of the school year.
For new projects, it will be necessary to take into account the stringent deadlines for starting work in the PNRR and organize alternatives for users accordingly. Nursery schools, preschools, and schools nominated for the Regional PNRR require priority attention, given that work must begin by 2023. There should be no problems, however, for the Troisi Institute and the gymnasium interventions, for which the deadline for starting work is March 2024.
