The Covid infection rate in Italy continues to decline in absolute numerical terms but there are still too many hospitalizations.
However, the numbers certify the decline in epidemic curve in Italy. Today there are 67.817 new Covid cases against 89.830 yesterday and above all against 79.920 last Sunday. swabs carried out there are 297.754 (yesterday 398.338) with a positivity rate that goes from 22,6% to 22,8%.
The deaths in the last 24 hours are 79 (yesterday 111) for a total of 169.925 victims since the beginning of the pandemic. Slight decrease in intensive care, two less (yesterday +10): in total there are 403 with 38.
The number of, however, continues to grow admissions: there are 142 more (yesterday +71) for a total of 10.576. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
The region with the most Covid cases is still the Lombardia with 8.971 infections, followed by Campania (+ 7.145), Lazio (+ 6.877), Veneto(+6.423) and Emilia Romagna (+6.244).
The total cases since the beginning of the pandemic are 20.145.859. discharged / healed of the last 24 hours are 52.417 (yesterday +69.489) for a total that rises to 18.510.884. The currently positive (+16.500) are in total 1.465.050, of which 1.454.071 in home isolation.
