Today the epidemic curve in Italy is decreasing, after the peak of last week. The new cases Covid there are 31.204 against 67.817 yesterday but above all against 37.756 last Monday.
The swabs carried out are 135.642 (yesterday 297.754) with a positivity rate that rises slightly from 22,8% to 23%. The deaths in the last 24 hours are 112 (yesterday 79) for a total of 170.037 victims since the beginning of the pandemic. Intensive care is increasing, 14 more (yesterday -2): in total there are 417 with 41 admissions today. The number of ordinary hospitalizations also continues to grow: there are 272 more (yesterday +142) for a total of 10.848.
This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health. The region with the most Covid cases today is Emilia Romagna with 4.175 infections, followed by Lazio (+3.708), Lombardy (+3.262), Campania (+3.060) and Sicily (+2.678). The total cases since the beginning of the pandemic are 20.177.910. The discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 42.594 (yesterday +52.417) for a total that rises to 18.553.478. The currently positive ones decrease by 10.655 units (yesterday +16.500) and are 1.454.395 in total, of which 1.443.130 in home isolation.
