Last night, the DIA of Salerno executed a precautionary measure order, issued by the investigating judge of the court of Nocera Inferiore (Salerno) at the request of the prosecution, against four people, two of whom are in prison and two under house arrest, and carried out several house searches.
The attention of the personnel of the operational section of the DIA of Salerno focused on some people living in the Salerno and Naples areas, managing to intercept and seize a large quantity of explosives that, in part, was contained in a device that, according to the investigators, was built by a person from Scafati with the complicity of others, "through a precise division of operational tasks", writes, in a note, the public prosecutor of Nocera Inferiore, Antonio Centore.
Through observation services, technical activities and video surveillance, the investigators found the alleged responsibility of five people with multiple criminal convictions who were involved in the manufacturing of an explosive war device with a total weight of 3,4 kilograms and in the possession of explosive elements ready for the manufacturing of other devices.
Among them, 17 pyrotechnic devices, the so-called fuses, 140 centimetres of black powder fuse, 3,600 kilograms of grey pyrotechnic powder mixture and 8,400 kilograms of potassium perchlorate powder.
According to the chief prosecutor Centore, the operation was carried out “takes on a role and provides an important response in light of the dynamite attacks recorded in recent times in the Agro nocerino area”.
