The filming of the movie “Desiré” is underway, directed by Mario Vezza who wrote the screenplay with Fabrizio Nardi and the friendly participation of Maurizio Braucci. First takes in the prison of Nisida with the protagonists Enrico Lo Verso, Antonella Stefanucci, Tonia De Micco and the young Nassiratou Zanre in the role of Desiré.

The film is produced by Antonio Acampora and Armando Ciotola for CinemaFiction, a production company and film acting school based in Naples, in association with TNM Production, with the contribution of the Campania Region and the support of the Film Commission Regione Campania. Filming lasted four weeks between Nisida, thanks to the Department for Juvenile Justice of the Ministry of Justice and the IPM of Nisida directed by Gianluca Guida, and in the streets of Naples.

SYNOPSIS
Desiré, a Nigerian, lives alone with her mother in a slum in the center of Naples. Forced by her drug-addicted mother to sell weed for little money in her neighborhood on behalf of the ruling clan. One night she is arrested by the police and sent to the juvenile penitentiary of Nisida. Her detention will last almost two years. During this period, a slow journey made of silences, listening and desires will begin. Towards the end of her detention, Desiré will have to deal with her past...
