The fifth section of the Court of Appeal of Naples has sentenced the only defendant, the security guard Paolo Cammarota, who has always professed his innocence, to 5 years and 4 months for the crimes of collapse and manslaughter and has declared the statute of limitations for the crime of arson. The trial reached the Court of Appeal after the annulment of the sentence of the Court of Cassation of 26 November 2019 and the decision of the preliminary hearing judge of 2 December 2016, which acquitted the custodian.
