The Salerno Flying Squad has arrested three people under investigation for extortion aggravated by the Camorra method with the aim of facilitating the Pecoraro Renna clan, active in the Piana del Sele area.
The agents executed a precautionary order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Salerno, at the request of the Salerno District Anti-Mafia Directorate, which orders the precautionary custody in prison for two of the recipients and house arrest for the third recipient, a woman.
The defendants are accused of sending an emissary, in the months of July and August 2021, to impose, with the tacit threat deriving from belonging to the Camorra clan, a payment of 350 euros per week.
