Unsafe stage at Caserta Film Fest: meeting with Toni Servillo at the Royal Palace of Caserta postponed.
The opening night of the Caserta Film Fest was postponed when the audience had already taken their seats: the spectators protested vigorously.
A small incident, resulting in brief moments of tension, occurred yesterday evening at the Royal Palace of Caserta, where the opening night of the Film Fest was scheduled, postponed due to safety concerns when the public had already settled in to enjoy the show.
Yesterday evening, Sunday 17 July, was the first evening of the “Reggia Festival – Visioni Reali”, a festival created to celebrate Campania cinema with film screenings and meetings with the protagonists: the opening night was scheduled to feature a meeting with the actor Toni Servillo, followed by the screening of “Qui rido io”, a film by Mario Martone about the Scarpetta dynasty.
It was planned because, as mentioned, the evening was postponed: the stage set up for the occasion, in fact, was deemed unsafe. It was the Supervisory Commission of the Prefecture of Caserta that stopped the show: in fact, a problem was found with the structure that supports the screen on which the film was to be projected.
