Frangenti – Cetara Arts Festival: theater and music in its sixth edition. The festival is directed by Vincenzo Albano.

From 23 to 30 July and from 25 August to 3 September in the splendid setting of the Amalfi Coast.

The event, which has changed its name from Teatri in Blu to Frangenti, as per tradition, will take place in the typical setting of the seaside village of Cetara (Sa).

Now in its sixth edition, Frangenti opens up to live author music while remaining firmly anchored to the traditional theatrical programming aimed at an adult audience. It also addresses the very young with the intent of enhancing the creative capacity of the word through the exploration of different artistic expressions ranging from dramatic language to music.

This edition features three sections: #KIDS, #Stories and #Live and will come to life in evocative locations in the village, such as the Torre Vicereale, Piazza San Francesco, Piazzetta Grotta, the Church of San Pietro and the Agora of Poets and Artists at Piazzetta al Casale.

The protagonist will be the panoramic terrace of the Torre Vicereale which will host some shows from the #stories section, a series of events dedicated to theatre, readings and narration full of suggestions and through the evocative power of theatre it will be possible to explore the multiple universes of the imagination: tales of the sea and life experiences will make us reflect and feel emotions. While in the enchanting location of the Porto Marittimo some of the most interesting voices of the Italian music scene will resonate. After the port adaptation works, in fact, a large platform on the sea will be the stage for unique and suggestive moments.

The festival, with a strong artistic and cultural connotation, contributes to the promotion of art as a central value in the actions of territorial politics, also in terms of tourism, environment and economy.

The village of Cetara, among the first municipalities of the Amalfi Coast, is an important local and international fishing center that has made its scenic and food and wine beauties an important tourist attraction. The village stands at the foot of Mount Falerio and, stretching out in a deep valley flanked by vineyards and citrus groves, opens out like a fan onto the narrow flat strip at sea level. The typical gastronomy of this village - a production center of the anchovy sauce - is essentially fish-based.

As previously announced, the first two unmissable events of Frangenti – Cetara Arts Festival are the exclusive regional concerts of two of the most renowned musicians and singer-songwriters of the contemporary singer-songwriter scene: on July 23 Giorgio Poi and on July 30 Cristina Donà, both on stage in the port area suspended between sea and land. Completing the program is #Live Folcast (August 25 at 22 pm at Piazzetta Grotta ticket €10 at the box office) a young and talented Roman singer-songwriter who rose to prominence at the Sanremo Festival was a guest of the Wired Next Fest 2021 in Milan and among the protagonists of the Concerto del Primo Maggio in Rome. A minimal concert, guitar and loop, through the most intimate and incisive moments of their repertoire will be on stage thanks to the singer-songwriters Zibba and Erica Mou (August 27 at 22 pm Piazzetta Grotta ticket €15 at the box office).

On September 1st, the promising Cecilia will take the stage (22 pm Piazzetta Grotta ticket €10 at the box office) who grew up with soul and the great Italian classics, will perform accompanied by piano and guitar between experimentation and musical research. Closing the #Live section will be the Italian singer-songwriter par excellence: Riccardo Sinigallia. On September 3rd (22 pm Piazzetta Grotta ticket €15 at the box office) the refined Roman producer returns on tour for some dates around Italy and has chosen Cetara for its charm bringing the show “Concerto a cuor leggero” on stage.
NB Tickets for all concerts can be purchased in advance from the authorised portals Go2.it and Ticketone.it
