A 21-year-old motorcyclist died and two other people were injured in a accident occurred shortly after 21pm yesterday in Crespellano, in the Bologna area.
The victim is Giovanni Gandolfi, a 21-year-old from Crespellano. With him, riding a Honda 500 motorbike, was an 18-year-old from Savignano sul Panaro (Modena), who was seriously injured and hospitalized at the Maggiore hospital in Bologna.
The victim had just taken his final exams and for reasons yet to be reconstructed, he hit a car coming from the opposite direction on a curve. The contact caused the motorcyclist to lose his balance and end up on the ground.
The 18-year-old girl who was the passenger on the motorcycle was also injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital in medium-serious conditions, while the 64-year-old man who was driving the car was slightly injured. The exact dynamics are still being examined by the carabinieri who intervened for the investigation.
