Giugliano. This morning the officers of the Giugliano-Villaricca police stations, Afragola, Acerra, Frattamaggiore, Nola, San Giuseppe Vesuviano and the Campania Crime Prevention Department have carried out checks on the territory aimed at combating the phenomenon of illegal connections to the electricity grid at the Roma camp on Via Carrafiello in Giugliano in Campania.
The operators, with the support of ENEL technical personnel, found that the meters of eleven homes had been tampered with and illegally connected to the public grid with copper wires.
The police identified the owners of the houses, eleven people of Roma ethnicity between the ages of 21 and 48, five of whom had criminal records, and reported them for aggravated theft of electricity.
