Vietri Sul Mare becomes the fashion capital for three days. From Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 July 2022, the first town of the Divine Coast will host “Ifta Evening Show”, the three days of fashion shows and events dedicated to women's fashion for cocktails and evenings.
With the ribbon cutting of the newly created “Ifta Evening Jewels” section, which will be held at 15:00 pm in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall of Vietri Sul Mare, the event organized by IFTA will be inaugurated on Tuesday 19th, with the support of the Campania Region, ICE-Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, the Municipality of Vietri Sul Mare and in collaboration with CNA Federmoda.
There are 33 fashion & jewelry companies involved, 16 international buyers from 8 countries – Belgium, France, Germany, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Slovenia and Ukraine – and 30 operators, almost all Italian, including buyers, agents, distributors and buying offices.
The first fashion show – Chiringuito Wear – will be held on Tuesday evening at Molo Marcina, the new dock in Vietri, with a selection of 100 outfits that focus on evening wear to wear for an aperitif on the beach, for a dinner by the pool or on a boat. Of the 11 companies on the catwalk, only one will win the The Vibes of Art award, put up for grabs by Marco Giordano, of Re D'Italia Art, the international art publishing and collecting srl, which will be the protagonist of a special event in the Castello d'Arechi in Salerno. A grouping of 11 fashion shows will instead be dedicated to the Intimate Fashion Show, preparatory to B2B meetings.
Among the brands in this tranche, three big names in fashion will present their spring-summer 2023 previews: Balestra, with the ready-to-wear collection created by Sofia Balestra; Giada Curti, the Roman label that has conquered, with its very feminine creations enhanced to the max in the Resort SS23 tranche and Gianluca Capannolo, the Milanese designer who with his unmistakable silhouettes is present in the most renowned international showcases. Ifta Evening Jewels is dedicated to the goldsmith tradition of Campania which will have as its setting the Council Chamber of the Town Hall of Vietri Sul Mare.
Grand finale on Thursday 21 July at Molo Marcina for the fashion show of the 12 finalists of Ifta Awards 2022, engaged in the creation of three outfits each, built on the theme Cocktail and Evening Rebirth, in the name of sustainable and social choices. Three Paralympic champions of the Italian national team will parade alongside the models: the Italian swimmers Emanuele Marigliano and Vincenzo Pirone. and Paolo Mangiacapra, of the National sitting volleyball team.
