Canadian Timber Timbre exclusively in Campania. In concert on July 30 in Caserta on Foundling + Joseph Martone.
Taylor Kirk, the refined Canadian singer-songwriter and soul of the band Timber Timbre, will perform live on Saturday, July 30 in the province of Caserta. The splendid Tenuta al Monticelli in Vitulazio will host the exclusive concert for the artist who has been absent from Italy for over five years. It will be possible to see Timber Timbre live again in a new formation in which the leader and founder of the Montreal trio, Taylor Kirk, is accompanied only by Erin Lang.
The evening will open with Joseph Martone, a dark blues singer-songwriter and close friend of Kirk, who also produced his album “Honey Birds”; and Foundling, currently on tour with Agnes Obel.
The concert is organized by two very proactive local entities that have been organizing concerts for years in an area often excluded from major tours: Mr. Rolly's and Manhattan Bar. The chosen location is the suggestive Tutuni al Monticello, an ideal place to listen live to the latest work, 'Dissociation Tapes Vol. 1', which sees Timer Timbre in the new lineup with Erin Lang.
The eagerly awaited Timber Timbre concert will be a set that is necessarily minimal, but no less full of pathos, which ideally takes us back to the birth of a song, to its melodic essence. There will be room for songs taken from the band's now substantial discography, with the triptych "Timber Timbre" (2009), "Creep On Creepin' On" (2011) and "Hot Dreams" (2014) as the artistic pinnacle, recently reissued on vinyl in a new "smoke marble" version. And maybe for a few surprises.
Taylor Kirk has an innate ability to escape classifications and genres; in his songs he speaks to us of damnations and human obsessions in noir shades, in a dreamy and disturbing atmosphere that has become a trademark of the celebrated albums of the Canadian band. An evocative attitude that has led Taylor to contribute to the creation of the soundtracks of cult series of recent years, from Breaking Bad to Walking Dead.
