Incognito. The four syllables that make up their name are already musical notes. The name of a project, a band, a British formation originally from Mauritius that is still a hymn to style, grace, knowing how to make music and coexistence on stage. Which becomes an explosive and caressing cocktail of funk, r'n'b, jazz, soul.
Thanks to the creativity and passion of Bluey (aka Jean Paul Maunick) who is still the leader, they have created manifesto albums of what is consigned to the history of music as acid-jazz, with the guardian angel Gilles Peterson taking care of the productions and travels across the continents. And in this whirlwind summer of 2022 they open the Italian national tour with a concert on the beach at the Lido Varca d'Oro in Varcaturo (Naples).
On stage, lining up twelve elements between musicians and vocalists, Incognito will first present the titles of the album “Tomorrow's New Dream” released in 2019. After that, the melodious and persuasive carousel is already ready that links “Still A Friend of Mine”, “Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing”, “Talkin' Loud” and “Always There”. And then “Marracash”, “Feel the Real”. It must be said: it is a show for those who love and collect doc vinyls but in this case they can listen to voices and sounds physically. Live. The sea, for one night, becomes the bed.

In the company of Bluey (guitars / vocals), here are Imaani, Natalie Duncan and Tony Momrelle, Matt Cooper (keyboards), Francis Hylton (bass), Francesco Mendolia (drums), João Caetano (percussion), Charlie Allen (lead guitar), Sid Gauld (trumpet), Max O'Donnell (guitars) and Paul Booth (saxophones and wind instruments).

Not to be underestimated, then, that in the days preceding the concert, at the Auditorium Novecento Napoli – corner of via Mezzocannone – Francis Hylton and Francesco Mendolia will hold a masterclass with singers and musicians followed by a dinner at the Lido Varca d'Oro in Varcaturo.
