Ischia, John Lesher was named Producer of the Year at the twentieth Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, scheduled for July 10-17.
The American film entrepreneur, won a statuette in 2014 for the best film 'Birdman' by Oscar-winning director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (awarded at the Global festival in 2007).
Currently busy in Emilia-Romagna with Michael Mann for the film about Enzo Ferrari, John Lesher will collect the award on Wednesday 13 July at the Calise Espresso Ischia Porto together with three Italian colleagues who have distinguished themselves in the last year: Mariagrazia Sacca' producer of Sergio Rubini's film 'I fratelli de Filippo', Chiara Tilesi producer of 'One of Us' and the recent 'Tell it like a woman', Francesca Verdini producer of 'Ghiaccio' the first film by singer-songwriter Fabrizio Moro, a work created with particular attention to eco-sustainability on the set.
The Global Production Summit 2022, promoted with Rs Production, will be chaired by the festival's honorary president Mark Canton (USA) and Pietro Peligra with a panel of international and Italian colleagues that promises to be of great depth, as per tradition.
Ischia Global, produced and founded by Pascal Vicedomini, chaired for the 2022 edition by Irish director Jim Sheridan, honorary president Tony Renis, is created with the support of the DG Cinema and Audiovisual of the MiC and the Campania Region, with the participation of Riflessi, Givova, Vulcano Buono, Rs Productions, Tatatu, Banca Ifis and Isaia.
The event is promoted by the International Academy of Art Ischia with the patronage of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, the Red Cross, Siae, Nuovo Imaie and the Municipalities of Ischia, Lacco Ameno and Forio.
