Ischia. The checks by the Company continue Ischia throughout the island and throughout the weekend. Checks aimed above all at ensuring the safety of both tourists and residents.
During the operations, the Carabinieri reported 3 Neapolitan citizens already known to the police for brawling. The events occurred on July 11th in Piazza San Girolamo and thanks to the analysis of the video surveillance systems, the Carabinieri were able to identify the three - respectively 42, 36 and 30 years old - who took part in the brawl.
A 27-year-old American tourist was also reported for drunk driving. His blood alcohol level was 1,31 g/l against the 0,8 allowed by law. The same fate for a 26-year-old from Avellino whose blood alcohol level exceeded 1,70.
Another Irpinia tourist reported for failure to provide assistance. The man, a 29-year-old, was tracked down after causing a road accident by fleeing.
8 mandatory expulsion orders requested from the public safety authority for the same number of citizens not resident on the island.
There was no shortage of checks on the highway code with 18 fines issued to undisciplined drivers.
The owner of a club was also fined for violating the mayoral ordinance on sound diffusion. In total, the Carabinieri identified 154 people and checked 87 vehicles.
