They contacted two elderly people on the island and, pretending to be their grandchildren, asked them to urgently pay off a debt they had incurred at the post office.
The two elderly people, thanks to the awareness campaign organized by the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Naples, understood the deception and alerted 112.
The soldiers then tracked the two down to the home of one of the two victims.
Both identified, they were reported and their phones were seized.
