The Neapolitan saxophonist has been on the national artistic scene for over fifty years, becoming an artistic icon that, from the height of his 77 years, still makes him a point of reference for the new musical generations who want expressive urgency and zero compromises.
With a super live band, composed of drummer Freddy Malfi, bassist Rino Calabritto and keyboardist Alessio Busanca, James Senese presents his twenty-first album entitled JAMES IS BACK. Accompanied by his trusty sax, and with his blues throat; he returns to play live in Naples on the occasion of the Livingstone Sunset festival in the splendid seaside setting of Lido Varca d'Oro in Marina di Varcaturo.

“In today's society it has become very difficult to make good prevail over evil and it is even more complex to talk to people to try to make them understand what for me is the right path, that of feelings. – declares Jemes Senese. “Every person has their own Creed, we are not all the same and everyone builds their own world differently but one of the main problems is that there are people who have dominant ambitions. To create James is Back I looked everywhere, to find a common voice that could enter people's hearts. It is a very painful album but full of love. And it is precisely Love that I seek in every moment of my life and my art. The work I did was to look for a single sound: that of truth, my being black and white... to be able to find myself, and trace my identity. The songs on this album give me a notable emotional charge, for me they represent the present but also the future. They seem like songs but they go beyond; they are the mirror of my life. In these songs you can hear the breath of my heart.”
