It is a festival whose objective is to enhance the artistic forms of the Campania region through a series of shows, conferences and film forums aimed at the large number of tourists present in Camerota during the high season.
Every year, for the purposes of the “A Prescindere…” event, the OPERA Association identifies a Campanian figure who has distinguished himself for his artistic production during his career and dedicates the entire event to him, retracing his life and rediscovering his major works.
Over the course of the various editions, in this regard, there has been no shortage of tributes to the Prince of Laughter Antonio de Curtis, aka Totò, to the philosopher Edoardo De Crescenzo, and also to the greats Pino Daniele and Massimo Troisi. “A Regardless…” is also enriched with a series of conference events through which the most current, most urgent topics are highlighted, such as the meeting with Lorenzo Peluso, author of the photographic book “The gardens of Bagh-e Babur” , who brought his personal testimony of the war in the Middle East, prompting the entire audience to reflect richly and in solidarity.
The ninth edition of “A Prescindere…” will have as its reference figure Roberto Murolo, the well-known Neapolitan singer-songwriter of international fame and voice of the famous song “Ccu 'mme!”, performed in duet with Mia Martini and written by Enzo Gragnaniello, the latter guest of the event during the third edition in 2013.
“A Prescindere…”, which takes place during the last weekend of July, brings together various artistic forms in the program to tell the life of Roberto Murolo and collect real and unpublished testimonies.
