Summer in musicals under the stars: Mary Poppins arrives flying in Pietrarsa on Friday 22nd July.
Three musical events at the National Railway Museum emerge from the magic hat of “Where Do Cartoons Live?”: starting on July 22 with Mary Poppins.
Songs, dances and magic at the arena of the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa. “But where do cartoons live?” returns with a winning trio of new musicals dedicated to families that will make the Vesuvian summer sparkling. The evenings of the weekends of July and August will be animated by musical shows inspired by some of the fantasy stories most loved by adults and children in the extraordinary setting of the Pietrarsa park.
In addition to being able to attend the artistic performances with fantastic characters played by the eclectic and transformative actors of “Ma dove vivere i cartoni?”, visitors will also be able to visit the Museum, custodian of the historic trains of the first Railway in Italy, and spend hours of tranquility in the gardens overlooking the sea. Once again “Ma dove vivere i cartoni”? by Aurora Manuele, with the artistic direction of Francesco Chiaiese, chooses the synergy with the director of Pietrarsa, Oreste Orvitti, to offer immersive experiences in one of the most significant places in Campania for art, history and culture. A strategy that the management of Pietrarsa marries perfectly with the various initiatives dedicated to children and families.
We start on Friday 22nd July with the highly anticipated musical “Mary Poppins”, the magical nanny who arrives flying, clinging to her umbrella, in the Benks’ house to take care of their two children. “Just a little sugar and the pill goes down”… or “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” are expressions that everyone, sooner or later in life, pronounces or whistles and the magical nanny, with her gigantic bag and who solves every problem with just the snap of her fingers is the dream of every child and every mother and father. Mary Poppins will fly to Pietrarsa to spread her magic around, to catapult children and their families into the world of fantasy, to make them “jump” into a drawing and make them live bizarre and cheerful adventures.
There will be no shortage of his trusted friends such as Bert the chimney sweep and all the fantastic characters of the work that continues to make several generations dream.
