Maurizio De Giovanni spent the night at his home in Naples after heart surgery at Cardarelli Hospital last week.
The Neapolitan writer will now spend a period of rest and rehabilitation. The announcement of his return home was given yesterday evening by his wife Paola Egyptian and from the official fan club of De Giovanni with the simple message: “Home!” followed by a red heart.
There are already thousands of reactions and comments to the news. The writer, known for his best sellers such as “Commissioner Riccardi”, had suffered a heart attack on the night of July 13. He was transported to Cardarelli and operated on the following day.
